- City-Wide Garage Sale
The city-wide garage sale will be held on Saturday, October 13th from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm (rain or shine). Registration forms are available at Burt Chiropractic Clinic, Walcott Casey's, and Walcott City Hall. Click here to find the form online. The cost to register is $10 and the deadline to register is Friday, October 5th. The garage sale is a community service project that the Nu Zeta Sorority organizes as a fundraiser. The registration fees are donated to Walcott area organizations and schools.

- Shelter Reservations
Shelter and Gazebo reservations may be made by contacting City Hall starting February 1st. Reservations require a completed reservation form and a nonrefundable fee of $35.
Walcott American Legion
- Avenue of Flags
Show your patriotism and support by signing up for the Avenue of Flags through the Walcott American Legion. The cost is $35. Volunteers will place a flag in your yard before Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Veterans Day. Sign-up is available at any time during the year.

The Walcott Historical Society would like to remind the community that their new book they have published is still available for purchase but are going quickly. Books can be purchased for $25 at Walcott Trust and Savings Bank, B & D Automotive, Burt Clinic, Arp Insurance, and the I-80 Museum.
Walcott Volunteer Fire Department
- Annual Steak Fry
The Walcott Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting their annual steak fry on Saturday, September 29th at the Walcott Coliseum. Dinner will be served from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Tickets are available from all fire department members and at City Hall. The cost is $14 in advance and $15 at the door (credit card payment is now available for payment at City Hall). Auctions and live music will follow the dinner. Fire themed cake decorating contest will be on display. Please bring your cake to the Walcott Coliseum by 4:00 pm on Saturday, September 29th.
