- Shelter and Gazebo Reservations
City Hall is now accepting shelter and gazebo reservations for 2017. Shelter reservations will become effective when the completed reservation form and the non-refundable fee of $35 are remitted to the City Clerk's office. Unreserved shelters will still be available to be enjoyed by the general public on a first-come,first-served basis. Please contact the City Clerk's office for availability at 563-284-6571 ext 10. - Brush Pick-Up
The Public Works Department will continue to pick up brush at your curb each Wednesday. Branches should not be larger than six inches in diameter and four feet in length. Smaller sticks must be tied or placed in a container to be emptied. Please place your brush at the curb by 8:00 am.
- City-Wide Garage Sale
The Walcott City-Wide Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, May 6th from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm (rain or shine). Registration forms will be available on April 1st at Walcott Casey's and Walcott City Hall. The cost to register is $10 and the deadline to register is Friday, April 28th.
- Spring Clean-Up Day
The City of Walcott will be hosting a Spring Clean-Up Day for all residents on Saturday, May 6th from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at 212 W. Lincoln St. (Public Works Building) with dumpsters available. All household waste will be accepted with the exception of electronic waste, hazardous waste, or business waste. Please take this opportunity to clean out all of the useless items that seems to keep piling up!
- Summer Youth Recreation Program
The City of Walcott will be sponsoring a six-week summer recreation program from June 12th - July 21st. The program will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 am - Noon for ages 5 - 14. Participants will meet at Victory Park and be transported to Camp Abe Lincoln for activities on Monday and Wednesday with additional field trips scheduled for Friday. The cost for Walcott residents is $70 per participant and $196.45 for participants residing outside of Walcott. Registration forms will be available at Walcott City Hall and online at www.cityofwalcott.com. Completed forms and fees are due by June 9th. Walcott American Legion
- Avenue of Flags 2017
The Walcott American Legion will be doing the avenue of flags again for 2017. Volunteers will deliver and place a flag in your yard before the holiday and take it down after. The cost is $35 for the year or $7 a holiday. You may sign up at any time. To sign up, click here.
Walcott Historical Society
- Walcott History Book
The Walcott Historical Society would like to remind the community that their new book they have published is still available for purchase but are going quickly. Books can be purchased for $25 at Walcott Trust and Savings Bank, B & D Automotive, Burt Clinic, Arp Insurance, and the I-80 Museum.
